Scholarship Fund
BSLA has received an unexpected gift to provide funding for our Scholarship Program. Some unused accounts, originally established for scholarship purposes, have been now transferred to BSLA for administration. This is a great boost to the new Scholarship Program begun last year. Watch for details on this year’s application process.

Grant for Licensure Effort
As part of the BSLA fundraising strategy to support our MA Licensure efforts, an application was made to ASLA for a grant – and it was successful. A grant of $5500 has been received. BSLA has worked successfully with teams in both NH and ME to enhance licensure regulations in those states and now it’s on to MA. Significant funds are required for this and BSLA will be continuing its fundraising efforts. Thanks go to those firms that have contributed to the effort thus far.

Ski with Vermont LAs

This is your last reminder for the 9th Annual VT ASLA Ski Day – February 5th at Sugarbush Resort (see announcement). This event is purely social. There is no official member meeting, no fund raising, etc… It’s just good ole Vermont skiing, riding, and gliding with other LA’s and allied professionals! Feel free to bring your family to join the fun; the more the merrier!

You must RSVP by January 29th to aportz@segroup.com or call (802)862-0098. Please include your sport of choice (alpine, board, tele, or nordic) and whether or not you will be joining us for dinner at the Timbers Restaurant. Final details will be sent out to those who RSVP!

Lastly, Nadene Parzych of Landscape Forms (www.landscapeforms.com) has kindly donated (1) Parc centre table and (2) chairs. Only one lucky person will win this great set of outdoor furniture. Even more reason to come join the fun! You must be 18 years or older to win (that’s a joke) and attend the entire day and dinner (that’s not!).
