Sign-up to Host a Landscape Architecture Student
The BSLA is looking for additional practitioners to host a landscape architecture student during the weeks of March 15-19 and March 22-26. The BSLA Shadow-A-Professional Day will pair students with local practitioners for a day providing a personal, one-on-one viewing of what a local landscape architect does. A number of students have already signed-up and we would like a place for each student during those weeks. Please sign-up at www.surveymonkey.com/s/QY83JB7.
During the Shadow-A-Professional Day, students will be exposed to the numerous aspects of a professional's day, such as client meetings, site visits, project meetings, plan revisions, etc. for the best possible experience. Whether it be over lunch or during the course of the day, providing your insights as to the realities of being in an office would also be quite helpful to your future colleagues.
When a pairing with a student has been made, you and the student will receive an email with each other's contact information so that you can finalize the details for this exciting program to our local landscape architecture students. You will receive confirmation of an assignment the first week of March. Please sign-up by Friday, February 19th to help a student from either University of Massachusetts, Amherst; the Boston Architectural College; and the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
Should you have questions regarding this program, please contact Tim Nickerson at tim@timnickersonla.com or 603.682.4940.
